We will be holding the 2013 Deutsche Marque Concours Judging Class at Mercedes-Benz of Tysons Corner in Vienna VA on Saturday, May 4 – the day before the Deutsche Marque Concours d'Elegance, (DMC.) This one-day class will have you ready for the 2013 Deutsche Marque Concours and the coming year of concours events!
How can you become a Concours Judge, or just improve your skills? What does a judge look for when judging a German marque automobile? This is your opportunity to find the answers! This class is open to all members of the BMW, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz Club who want to judge at the Deutsche Marque. This class will teach you how judge new, classic, and customized German cars for Concours d'Elegance events. You will learn what judges look for when judging, and what to ignore!
The class will be taught by Pete Lesler, Mercedes-Benz Club of America (MBCA) National Concours Chair and past MBCA President, who has been chief judge at a number of world class Concours events around the country!
The class will be taught in the conference room of Mercedes-Benz of Tyson's Corner, starting at 9 am. We will break for lunch (provided) and after lunch the group will break into judging teams to review participants cars based on what was learned in the class. Everyone will then return to the conference room where Pete will go over the judging and discuss the scores.
A light breakfast will be offered and lunch is included in the cost of the class.
The cost of the class is $15. Pete's classes fill up quickly, so it's a good idea to reserve your spot early!
